About us: in 1998, we -Leonard and Esther- decided to say goodbye to the ‘busy’ city life in Holland and opted for a new adventure in picturesque France. Our dream? Running a charming chambres d’hôtes (bed and breakfast). After two successful seasons as manager-couple of an existing accommodation, the itch started again. We wanted to put our own stamp on a place and fully embrace the French lifestyle.
After a thorough search, we came across an old, run-down hotel that immediately enchanted us. The renovation was a challenge. But with love and dedication we refurbished the hotel into a beautiful chambres d’hôtes. Guests could immediately feel at home. This was rewarded after two years with a mention in Michelin’s Guide Rouge. After 21 successful years as owners of this chambres d’hôtes, we took another bold new step.
A new chapter
About us – chapter 2: we sold our chambres d’hôtes and took on a new challenge by acquiring an old, run-down wine estate. With determination and enthusiasm, we embarked on a massive renovation. In just nine months, we revitalised the neglected estate and created two charming holiday homes. This renovation was not only an architectural project, but also a rediscovery of the beauty and history that this piece of France has to offer.
Now we once again welcome guests to our enchanting domain. The two gîtes are lovingly decorated with attention to detail and comfort, providing our guests with an authentic and relaxing French experience.
