On the property close to our terrace is a walnut tree, it was a bit overgrown by a French oak but we pruned it back this spring, giving the walnut tree more light and air. We feel it is very grateful because it is full of walnuts.
it is still warm & sunny in the deep south of France – beautiful late summer weather – the sunflowers are also enjoying it to the full.
Antonio Vivaldi masterfully captured the mood and atmosphere of the seasons in “The Four Seasons”.
At domaine Cadignac, we live with the seasons: spring with its delicate colours, fresh fruit and young vegetables, summer with its clear blue skies and long evenings, and soon autumn with quiet roads, accessible markets and events.

Last week the weathermen were busy with their predictions; It was going to snow, that was the final conclusion, and just as much as in 2010. Last night when we went to bed it started snowing very gently, so they would have been right. This morning we woke up a bit tense, as there was really around 40 cm of snow. Well we were soon deprived of an illusion; not 40 cm of snow and certainly not more than 40 cm, but a very beautiful powdery landscape lay at our feet.
